Cart Path Construction Has Begun!

We’re thrilled to announce that construction has officially started on our Pave the Way cart path project! If you’re planning to visit Fish Lake Golf Course over the next week or so, please be mindful of the Ryan Baker construction crew. They will be working on laying forms and concrete from the clubhouse all the way up to the women’s tee box on hole #2.

The board has decided to complete the project as a whole, but we are still a bit short on donations for our $350 per square sponsorship. We are still accepting donations, so this is a perfect time to support Fish Lake and have your name or business recognized as a Fish Lake supporter!

A generous Fish Lake member has made a substantial donation to cover the cost of adding color to the concrete. This will help enhance the path aesthetically and also help match our existing retaining wall blocks, making it all look cohesive and attractive.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far to make this project happen!

Welcome!

Fish Lake Country Club was founded in 1914 by local sportsmen from the Plankinton and Mount Vernon area, at a time when the state owned the land around Fish Lake. Later, the land was transferred from the Commissioner of School and Public Lands to the Department of Game, Fish and Parks. The Department allowed the 9 Hole course to remain and the state developed a game refuge around the course and lake. We remain as a 9 Hole course, just 3 miles East of Plankinton, South Dakota.

The membership continues to preserve Fish Lake Country Club as a place to enjoy recreational and social activities.  Throughout our existence, we have strived to maintain a friendly, inviting atmosphere for serious and recreational golfers alike.

We pride ourselves in being family friendly, and we work hard to ensure our members and guests have a great experience. We are often asked how such a small club can maintain such a pristine course, and it is due to our devoted and talented greens keeping staff, as well as our members who volunteer time and talent to help as well.
